Do you have an undeniable, unbelievable dream?

"Can you lay eggs?" asked the hen.

"No," said the duckling.

"Then have the goodness to cease talking."

"Can you raise your back, or purr, or throw out sparks?" said the cat.

"No," said the duckling.

"Then you have no right to express an opinion when sensible people are speaking."

So the duckling sat in a corner, feeling very low-spirited; but when the sunshine and the fresh air came into the room, he began to feel such a great longing for a swim that he could not help speaking of it.

"Why, you must be crazy!" said the hen. "Ask the cat how he would like to swim about on the water, or to dive under it. Ask our mistress, the old woman; there is no one in the world more clever than she is. Do you think she would relish swimming and letting the water close over her head?"

"I see you don't understand me," said the duckling.

"Hey, don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on.
Just do your best, do everything you can,
and don't worry what the bitter hearts are going to say."
Jimmy Eat World - Middle

Not everyone has a dream—but you do.

You are an author, an artist, an intuitive, or an entrepreneur. You are a dreamer, a doer.

You are standing on the threshold of your dream, but may have been held back.

You know in your heart—you can do this! (Though, sometimes, you're quite unsure how.)

You are in a very powerful place right now.
You are standing on the threshold of your dream.

Your guides, angels, and inner knowing have pulled you toward your deepest heart's calling. But you have hesitated.

You may have been held back by those who don't understand you, by those who disbelieve in what you're capable of, or even your own self-doubt. Yet the constant tug of your heart persists, and you cannot push it away, no matter how hard you've tried. (And you have tried!)

The universe knows when life becomes uncomfortable, you are forced to make the changes you've put off. It knows by upping the pressure, you will have to move forward, so the daily frustrations mount.

Wouldn't it be easier if you could move forward with confidence and joy—without the pain, without the discomfort, without fear?

StormSignal BlackSwan2Wouldn't it be better if you could walk toward your calling with delighted anticipation, giddy passion, and a true knowing—"This is what I came here to do!"

The Power of the Swan

I have discovered thirteen common traits that persist among those with a tremendous potential to succeed. They are found amid celebrities, pro-stars, industry leaders, philanthropists, humanitarians, and well-known icons.

Often created as a result of a difficult or unusual childhood, you may carry within yourself a wealth of potential you don't even know you have, capabilities that can propel you further than you ever imagined possible.

Like the Ugly Duckling transforming in the Hans Christian Andersen story, I call individuals with these traits "Awakening Swans."

Awakening Swans are just beginning to realize the value of their heart's calling and yearn for the opportunity to make their heartfelt desires come true. They are individuals who seek more than just a better life for themselves. They long to use their gifts to better the world.
